Ambulatory care resourses in the community do not meet the treatment needs of the recipient and proper treatment of the recipients psychiatic conditions requires services on a inpatient basis under the direction of a physician. The services can reasonably be expected to improve the recipient's condition or prevent further regression so that services will no longer be needed.
pt would be admitted with routine protocols, routine lab work stabilizing electrolytes if needed, and continue with current home medications as indicated. With an emphasis to be placed on a well structured program upon discharge.
